I keep asking for everyone else's bio, and I think most know it.

I graduated from Bklyn Tech in1961.  I worked at Mergenthaler Linotype for 7 years.  In that time I married my first wife Marie in 1965.  We had Jeff our oldest in 1969.In the same year we moved to Staten Island.  In 1973 our second son Steven was born.  I was divorced in 1977.  My current wife and I got married in 1981.  We lived on Staten Island from 1978 to 1983.  We moved to Monroe NY and lived there until 1999.  I left Mergenthaler and went to Merrill Lynch from 1967 to 1992.  My wife worked at Merrill where met from 1969 to 1998.  She took a buy out package.  I consulted from 1993 to1998.

We retired and moved to Florida.  We have 4 grandchildren, Jeff has 3 and Steve has 1.  The oldest is 6 1/2 and the youngest is 7 months.  The oldest is Rachel,Alexandra 4, Henry the terror 19 months.  The little bugger is almost 3 feet tall and weighs in at 31 pounds.  Then there is Steven Luke 7 months.  He will also be a big boy.  We are both in good health, my wife has high blood pressure, she lives with me.  I am physically restricted due to surgery on my neck.  The 6th and 7th verterbrae were drilled out and a bone graft and plate were done.  My spinal cord was closing and pressing on the nerves that controlled the left shoulder and arm.  I lost some arm strength but after the surgery I am pain free.  This was a major adjustment, considering I enjoy doing handy man jobs, installing floors, lights, plumbing etc.  Now I am restricted to lifting only 25 pounds.  I cannot put any stress on my neck.  This makes being a grandfather tough.  How do you tell a 19 month old you cannot pick him up when his arms are reaching for you?  The answer is a I do not and there will be a payback for me.

My wifes name is Irene, she is from Belgium speaks French and basically is raising three of our four grandkids.  She picks them up at 7A.M. and brings them home at 6 P.M.  She does homework with the eldest and she is teaching Alexandra the alphabet and numbers from 1-10.  Henry is learning French.  My ex and Irene get along well.  Marie lives about 7 miles from us.  We usually spend the holidays together and Irene and Marie take the kids on day trips.  I usually take care of Henry, that means shadowing his every move.
