1. Mr. Swanson taught shop to boys only. He was also in charge of the
after school playground where I spent a lot of time after school playing
handball. 2. Mrs. O'Toole was the Science teacher. She was incredibly
strict and everyone, including me, was terrified of her. She made us keep a
very tidy science notebook which, I think, she collected at the end of the
year and didn't give back (else for sure I'd have it) so no one would be able
to give theirs to her next crop of Science pupils. 3. Mrs. Forte (the final "e" pronounced "ay"). I think she was another
8th grade teacher. She seems to be the 8th grade teacher in the 8-5 class
photo. I have another picture of her alone. Looks like the same person to me. 4. And I have an interesting chorus photo with the teacher who must
have taught the chorus how to sing. When I looked at the photo, the name
Mrs. Doyle just popped into my head. Do you remember a Mrs. Doyle? She was
probably another 8th grade teacher also.
